Senator Taylor offered Amendment No. 1 : 2000-04-11 Senate Journal Page 3007 HJR 48 Page 2, after line 14: Insert WHEREAS, British Columbia, Canada, has become a haven for felons fleeing from criminal prosecution in the United States; BE IT RESOLVED that, before the United States enters into any agreements with Canada, British Columbia extradite all felons sought for prosecution in the United States; and upon that act of good faith, then the following resolves are requested; and thus be it Senator Taylor moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Mackie objected. Senator Mackie moved and asked unanimous consent that CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 48(RLS), with Amendment No.1 pending, be held in second reading to the April 12 calendar. Without objection, it was so ordered.
